Winter Wonderland

After spending a wonderful Thanksgiving in sunny California, we returned to San Juan Island during a major winter storm. We were lucky to get home by four wheel drive from Seattle before the brunt of it hit Sunday night. We woke up this morning to 10+ inches of snow and freezing temperatures. Lenni had a ball playing in the snow and we were glad to see the power come back on, having been out most of the night. We hope you enjoy the movie of Lenni making snow angels!

Happy Thanksgiving

We traveled to Santa Barbara, California to spend Thanksgiving with our daughter Sarah, and her boyfriend, Ori, enjoying the beautiful weather and family time. On Thanksgiving Day, we drove up to Ojai to Ori's parent's home and had a feast of turkey and all the trimmings. There were twenty people there, including Ori's sister and her family from Israel. We had a wonderful few days, not nearly long enough, but we are certainly thankful for the time together.

First Frost

Last night we had our first heavy frost. Lenni and I were up early to go out and play in it. For whatever reason Lenni LOVES to roll and scoot around in the frost. It must feel good. As soon as she discovered the frost this morning she started working her way down the dock looking for good frosty spots to enjoy.
