Alyeska 2008: The Road to Valparaiso

After securing our rental car and departing the airport, the four of us headed out of Santiago for the drive to the Chilean coast and our destination of Valparaiso. Along the way, the Andes mountains give way to a beautiful valley that has become a world class wine growing region. The wine district here has been compared to Napa Valley and is dotted with numerous beautiful wineries. We drove around the region and saw not only the wineries, but the beautiful landscapes and villages that dot this area. We are looking forward to our newly acquired bottle of wine with dinner tonight.
